Cape Royale Rocks Cape Town Tastebuds

(Cape Town, April 2014) On Friday, 25 April 2014, Cape Royale Luxury Hotel and Spa, Seven Star Award nominee, celebrated creativity of cuisine with their debut food and wine pairing autumn – winter campaign. Pairing up with multi-award winning Nitida Wines, the hotel’s Bistro 1800 Restaurant showcased a series of four dishes with accompanying wines.

Nitida winemaker, Brendan Butler along with Bistro 1800 Sommelier, Ardiel Norodien, and Chef Bevan Webb provided tasting notes to guide guests through their culinary experience. The flavour enhanced evening, bridging ingredients filled with combinations of textures, and tastes kept taste buds on their toes.

“We aimed to offer a well-balanced food and wine duo experience, harmonising the balance between the weight of the dishes and the body of the wines” says Nitida Winemaker, Brendan Butler.

The event was the first of a series of six pairing evenings which will be held on the last Friday of each month. Upcoming pairings include Constantia Glen on Friday 30 May; Haute Cabriere on 27 June; Nitida Wine Farm, 25 July; Hartenberg Estate, 29 August and Morgenster on the 26 September 2014.
